See us at the Mayor’s Thames Festival Night Carnival on 14 September from 6.30pm – 9.00pm along the Victoria Embankment at Waterloo, Blackfriars Bridge and Upper Ground at London’s South Bank.
Look out for the fiery Fenghuang, the Chinese Phoenix, that reigns over all other birds - and its marvellous jewelled egg. There will be Elemental costumes, a mythical fish, deep sea dancers, fire sprites, funky sound systems and loads of lanterns. Over 100 young people and their families from eight London Boroughs will perform the dances and street theatre they have created over the summer at the A2 Summer Arts College in Greenwich and the South London Street Arts Academy.
The Carnival starts at 6pm on Victoria Embankment, travels east crossing the Thames at Blackfriars Bridge, and finishes behind the Royal National Theatre.
