On 27th February 2010 EEA launched Windrush Square on behalf of Lambeth Council and its partners, the London Development Agency and Transport for London.

The opening of this innovative new space in the heart of Brixton included performances by local musicians and dancers and free children’s arts activities on site. To round off this celebration, EEA’s giant Fire Bird led a procession of local school children to the square for a spectacular pyrotechnic finale that included our incredible Human Catherine Wheel.

For this event EEA undertook all aspects of event management, production and programming.

Can I say a huge ‘thank you’ for producing such a great opening for our new square on Saturday. It hit absolutely the right note in terms of content, timing and production and went off flawlessly. It was, as ever, a pleasure to work with EEA.
Thank you also for your assistance in the pre-launch events in terms of marquees and infrastructure- very much appreciated by TFL etc.
