The premises
Emergency Exit Arts (EEA) has been based at Rothbury Hall, on the Greenwich peninsular in East Greenwich, London for over twenty years. Rothbury Hall is a beautiful grade 2 listed building, owned by London Borough Greenwich Council. In 2009 EEA undertook a feasibility study, which explored the potential for EEA to buy the building and turn Rothbury Hall into ‘a creation space’ for outdoor arts.
The plan for the next year is for EEA to undertake the purchase of the building from London Borough of Greenwich, entailing a significant fundraising campaign. This work will be undertaken by the Rothbury Hall Trust set up by the EEA Board of Trustees.
