Describing the dhol to children

This exciting concert can be aimed at any age group, and consists of a 50 minute performance accompanied by colourful video excerpts from Bollywood films.

The band plays several Bollywood tunes, and demonstrates the various instruments: brass, woodwind and percussion, including more unusual instruments like the dhol, tabla and sousaphone.

There are lots of opportunities for the audience to join in, and there is a question and answer session at the end.

A worksheet can be given to the children, with questions about the instruments and the concert.
