Andrew Siddall

Bio

Andrew Siddall (Sid) took over the part-time management of Rothbury Hall for Emergency Exit Arts at the end of 2008 and now oversees the workshop, yard and officesto ensure they are health and safety compliant. His knowledge of carpentry and building ensures the fading grandeur of our 115 year old building is tended to, whilst his experience as an artist and project manager helps keep the  kit and equipment in good order.

As a long standing associate of Emergency Exit Arts for over 20 years, he has experience of the full range of company projects and balances the needs of the premises post with active engagement in current arts projects both locally and across Europe. He has a developing interest in environmentally conscious ways of working and a firm belief that creative engagement in these processes is of benefit to EEA.

He is EEA’s project manager for Platform 11+ – an EU Culture funded, four year pan-European youth arts project involving twelve countries. He also works directly for Platform, leading on visual arts and participatory projects.

Sid trained in theatre at Dartington College of Arts (UK), and has worked extensively both nationally and internationally. He is a founder member of Project Phakama, a long-term associate of LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre), ex-Chair of Lewisham Youth Theatre, and visiting artist at Tallaght Community Arts in Dublin.
