	We played popular wedding songs, including of course, Aaj Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, until the groom came out to get into the white Rolls (number plate: SINGH).

	Then we all drove round the North Circular to the Gurudwara in Hounslow where the groom mounted a beautiful white horse (Sam) and we played them into the grounds of the temple where the bride&#39;s family were waiting. We had a young family member playing the dhol with us &#45; he&#39;s only 4 &#45; a BBB dhol player of the future?

      <description>

	EEA collaborated with Project Phakama and Transition Town Tooting to produce the giant Trashcatchers Carnival on Sunday 4th July 2010.&amp;nbsp; Led by artists from EEA and Project Phakama the local community of South West Tooting explored our relationship with the earth, using recycling as a metaphor for change through designing, making and animating beautiful sculptures and costumes from discarded rubbish and trash!&amp;nbsp; The carnival took the form of a peaceful rally where local people stopped the traffic for an hour while they paraded to the local park ending in a large&#45;scale community celebration where EEA&amp;rsquo;s Mechanical Menagerie and Giants featured throughout the day.

	A Symposium &amp;ndash; &amp;ldquo;How do societies learn?&amp;rdquo; was held on Monday 5th July, facilitated by Dr Barbara Heinzen and Anna Ledgard providing a space to reflect and to bring together what has been learnt through the event.

	The Earth Giant&amp;rsquo;s garden was created on the lake and the audience were invited to follow the Earth Giant who processed to the lake where they could take part in the personal and collective ritual of making wishes and promises at the lake side. Handmade illuminated wishing lanterns, carrying people&amp;rsquo;s pledges to honour and respect the planet were released across the water. &amp;nbsp;And thus the Giant&amp;rsquo;s Garden of Paradise was brought to life to honour the Moon Queen as the introduction to the performance.

	The performance was created in collaboration with Tangled Feet, an ensemble of theatre practitioners committed to making original work through physical improvisation Over 50 volunteers rehearsed and performed in the production, as swans glided across the lake, and the large exquisitely illuminated Moon Queen emerged across the lake to join the Earth Giant, culminating in an extravaganza of music and fireworks. The audience were witness to an extraordinary midsummer celebratory event and expressed their delight and awe throughout the performance and departed with spirits high.

	The event was produced by Remarkable Productions in association with Tower Hamlets Council and funded by Arts Council England. Thanks to Central School of Speech and Drama and the team of students who contributed in all aspects of the creation and production.

	If you would like to book EEA to create a &amp;lsquo;Wishful&amp;rsquo; event in your area commission us!!
