In association with Tower Hamlets Council, Remarkable Productions, Tangled Feet
We involve the audience in a processional prelude, led by EEA’s Earth giant. Wishful will take your breath away. Incorporating the individual wishes of audience members set afloat with evocative music, moving narrative and spectacular visual effects this show is a “never to be forgotten experience”.
Wishful has been performed for audiences up to 5000 people depending on the site. It can be customised for different sites and is ideal for the finale of a festival. It is enhanced by audience participation and provides inspiration for a community engagement programme. It is ideally performed on water – a river or a lake - but can be adapted for land.
Wishful was first conceived for the finale of the Cheshire Year of Gardens in Chester on the River Dee. A new version, created in collaboration with physical theatre ensemble Tangled Feet and students from Central school of Speech and Drama, was presented as the Midsummer Night finale of Paradise Gardens on the lake at Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets.
“The show was incredible… The company’s process of get-in and out was so professional and thought out… It was a great experience and I am so glad I was part of it, thanks so much for the opportunity to work on such a great theatrical event!”
