We are thrilled to have been commissioned by Greenwich Council to design and create the Grand Parade to celebrate Greenwich being awarded Royal Borough status. Currently we are working with 18 artists and 20 schools, making lanterns, costumes and specially designed floats. Grand Royal Greenwich Parade - 5th February 2012, 5.00pm
Starts at the National Maritime Museum and ends at the Old Royal Naval College with a fireworks display on the river
This Illuminated, processional pageant around the world heritage site in Greenwich features stunning newly created floats including a golden, mechanically animated coach and horses, 3m high illuminated figureheads and two enormous costumed monarchs accompanied by 600 lantern bearers with music by the Bollywood Brass Band.
5th February 2012, National Maritime Museum, 12.00 – 3.00 pm
Free family workshops to create illuminated lanterns inspired by the Royal River exhibition. The lanterns will feature as part of the procession later in the day. No need to book, just come along on the day.
