Indian Summer at Horniman Museum and Gardens

9 July - 3 September 2017

EEA in association with Jamshid Maylanchi and Jasmine Simhalan has been commissioned by Horniman Museum to create visual and performing arts experiences for families as part of this Indian Summer season of performances, activities and insights.

Jamshid has also designed the large, vibrant Indian Summer digital art works around the gardens. See our team at the Horniman Museum and Gardens on the following dates:  

Indian Summer Tamasha
9 July 12.00 - 5.30pm Colour In creatures: Fill our giant painting boards with colour - create animals using stencils inspired by Indian textile patterns

Indian Summer Baaja
23 July 12.00 - 5.30pm Healing Garden: Storytelling and Movement, in and around the herb garden, exploring Ayurvedic herbs through an interactive workshop including tests of strength and agility + Colour In Creatures

Big Wednesdays 9, 16 & 30 August 11.00am - 3.30pm Colour in creatures

Indian Summer Mela
3 September 12.00 - 5.00pm The Churning of the Cosmic Sea: Shadow puppet performance and puppet making + Healing Garden. Colour in Creatures

5.30 - 6.00 At the end of the day EEA presents a Holi inspired colour throwing extravaganza
