Wishful

We are closing this years' Join the Docks festival with a spectacular finale of light, water and colour. Wishful is a magical show directed by Jeanefer Jean-Charles and inspired by the Thai festival of Loi Krathong. Walk though a gigantic illuminated mechanical garden and watch as the floating wishing shrines are launched into the water, lighting the way for a show of gliding giant swans, an operatic moon goddess and local community group taking part. The night ends in a shower of fireworks against the backdrop of Millennium Mills. Free admission!

Come to Silvertown Quays at 6.30pm and explore the Illuminated Garden and grab something to eat and drink. From 8pm everyone is invited to join a carnival procession that will end at the viewing platform from where to enjoy the water show.

But that's not all!

Join partner arts organisation Rosetta Arts in one of their creative making workshops to make the beautiful illuminated lanterns that will feature on the show! Participants will be involved in making and launching floating seed pods on the river.
